Helllooooooo! So I can’t believe it, but it’s been over a year since I last posted on here, and wow a lot has happened since then. Let me throw some quick updates at you….
∇ HEALTH: This time last year (the day after Thanksgiving to be specific) I ended up in the hospital and had to have an emergency surgery done – due to a burst cyst on an ovary, which led to the discovery that I have endometriosis. I won’t go into details here, but I’m more than happy to do a full post on this and help spread awareness of what I now know is a super common diagnosis for women! But I will say that I’m feeling a LOT better lately and I’m thankful for having some really great doctors.
∇ LIVING: I moved out of my apartment in NYC and into a new apartment in NJ. I love my cozy bedroom and the view from our little porch!
∇ WORK: I started a new job in May! I’m now a Marketing Coordinator at an insurance company here in New Jersey and have learned/done SO MUCH in the last 6 months. The days/weeks/months are seriously flying by so fast, but I’m so excited that I finally found a career path that I’m truly passionate about.
∇ FITNESS: I was commuting to NYC for a few months before starting my new job, so now that I’m not spending 4 hours per day on the train (that was the WORST), I’ve finally gotten back into a good workout routine! I’ve been going to weekly hot yoga classes at Powerflow Yoga in Morristown and just recently started doing BBG (Bikini Body Guide by Kayla Itsines) again.
∇ NUTRITION: I celebrated TWO YEARS of being vegan on November 1st! I’ve been trying out a lot of new recipes lately, to mix up what I eat each week, since I go through periods of cooking the same easy meals over and over again (and then getting bored). I highly recommend checking out Oh She Glows and Minimalist Baker if you are in need of some meal inspiration!
That’s all for this little update – but I’ll definitely get back to posting more regularly, since I love having a creative outlet like this and a fun way to share different parts of my life. I recently hiked another section on the AT and will hopefully have a few trips planned in 2019, so more to come soon!
