Summer Reading List

Summer means it’s time to lay out on the beach and power through books in a day or two. Here’s what I plan on reading over the next couple months!

The Butterfly Garden

“As her story twists and turns, slowly shedding light on life in the Butterfly Garden, Maya reveals old grudges, new saviors, and horrific tales of a man who’d go to any length to hold beauty captive. But the more she shares, the more the agents have to wonder what she’s still hiding…”

I am Rembrandt’s Daughter

iamrembrandtsdaughter

“Based on historical fact, and filled with family dramas and a love triangle that would make Jane Austen proud, I Am Rembrandt’s Daughter is a powerful account of a young woman’s struggle to come of age within the shadow of one of the world’s most brilliant and complicated artists.”

Rich and Pretty

“This irresistible debut, set in contemporary New York, provides a sharp, insightful look into how the relationship between two best friends changes when they are no longer coming of age but learning how to live adult lives.”

Lilac Girls

“Inspired by the life of a real World War II heroine, this powerful debut novel reveals an incredible story of love, redemption, and terrible secrets that were hidden for decades.”

Big Little Lies

biglittlelies

“Big Little Lies is a brilliant take on ex-husbands and second wives, mothers and daughters, schoolyard scandal, and the dangerous little lies we tell ourselves just to survive.” OK OK, I know I’m months behind on reading this one..but I’m really excited to start it (and then binge-watch the show!!).
