I love smoothies because they are so versatile. There are SO many flavor combinations and you can add protein powder to make it a more substantial meal or post-workout snack. Today I’ll be sharing my go-to green smoothie recipe – with the option of adding protein powder.
Mango Green Smoothie
What you need:
Makes 1 serving
∇ 1 banana
∇ 1 cup frozen mango
∇ 1/2 cup almond milk
∇ handful of spinach
∇ 1 scoop protein powder (optional)
What you do:
∇ Place all ingredients in blender
∇ Blend until everything is smooth
∇ Pour into cup and enjoy!
Today, I put in a packet of Gardenia vegan protein powder. I’m constantly searching for a plant-based protein powder that I actually enjoy using (as some I’ve tried have had funky aftertastes or are too chalky feeling). I ordered sample packets of the four different vegan flavors and will let you know what I think of Gardenia when I’ve tried them all! So far, I like that it has 20g of protein and only 4g of sugar.
